Initial research on pottery purification media is near completion, at the Institute of Water and the Environment of Cranfield University, under the subject, Community Water Supply.  This has included replication of the production of pottery water purifiers.  And purifiers have been tested and assessed for the removal performance of protozoan, bacteria and viruses.  The following addresses indicate the Institute of Water and the Environment as well the researcher:
